CONTAINER GARDENING & WORM COMPOST Set-up

MARCH 22 and MARCH 29 1pm arrive 2pm start

I need to do this work now, so it's very instructive to see what
last year's soil looks like after the growing season of 2008, and
how it gets refurbished for the new growing season. You can,
of course, learn how to set up gardens at any time of year, but
I take advantage of the clues left for me, and will help you to
see them.

There will also be a free tour of One Acre Farm, one year later!!!
I moved here April 2, 2008. Much restoration work has/is being
done. A little film will be on site
very soon about their work project day here on Feb. 21.

Anyone barter/trading for this event, please reply soon with your
intentions. Fee $25. for 2 - 3 hour and sample tastings of food
produced here.

Peace and planting,
Stella Jane (541) 488 - 0049 Leave message, voicemail only

That's very interesting Peter.
I have what I thought was going to be two short stories that are putting out branches and maybe even new roots. I could use a feedback group to get past the stuckness I'm feeling.
Both stories show a tendency to become novels. I would welcome input to see if that is what other writers think. Maybe they are just short stories but more complicated than what I'm used to writing,
I have been wanting a feed back group here in Ashland . Perhaps what you are starting is it.

GARDENERS! To those most fortunate souls who will garden this year, please consider "ElderPlant"... simply grow one favorite food item for one elder in the community who can not grow for themselves. As the crop ripens, deliver. If you have children, please encourage them to participate! The intention is to reconnect our elders with their communities - and what better way than through the love of sharing good food!?! Blessings on each of your, and on all the great, fresh, live food to come! Please spread the word about "ElderPlant" to all the gardeners you know! Some folks will grow just one item in a corner!!! Be creative! Share the wealth! Be well!

Food - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Food is any substance, usually composed of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and water, that can be eaten or drunk by an animal, including humans, for nutrition or pleasure. Items considered food may be sourced from plants, animals or other categories such as fungus or fermented products like alcohol. Although many human cultures sought food items through hunting and gathering, today most cultures use farming, ranching, and fishing, with hunting, foraging and other methods of a local nature included but playing a minor role.

Understand Consciousness, Part II: Foods | NaturalNews

As talked about in "Understanding Consciousness" part 1, a large part of our consciousness comes from our thoughts and thought patterns. But a large part of our consciousness also comes from what we put inside our bodies. The foods we eat literally affect our consciousness and probably more than most realize.

Raw Spirit Festival

Raw Spirit International 2010 is a full three-day event featuring two stages (Lake and Meadow Stages) with mixed musical performers and dynamic health-eco-peace research presenters amidst stunningly-beautiful natural backdrops. Additionally, the Sacred Exercise Area (featuring an eclectic array of yoga, chi kung, tai chi, pranayama, poetry, prayers, meditation and beyond) is perched atop the lakeside cliff once again with spectacular vistas of the surreal jagged lake, it's sheer-rock shores and many islands. The Raw Vegan Demos and Tastings are once again in the Hilltop Pagoda with sweeping vistas of panoramic mountains.

Take GM Corn off the Shelves! - The Petition Site | Care2

The shelves of our grocery stores are filled with genetically-modified (GM) vegetables, also known as Frankenfood. But what's scariest about Frankenfood is not simply that scientists are manipulating DNA, but that they are not testing it before the food is sold to the public to be consumed!
