What brought you Southern Oregon and Ashland area?
I was born and raised outside of Grants Pass close to Murphy.
After getting degrees, etc I returned 3 years ago because I love this area, my mother is aging and there was a mutual need to be with each other, and after many years of living in the midwest it became clear that it was time for me to return.
What products, services, information or resources would you like to share, offer, give, sell, or exchange locally or regionally?
My expertise includes a doctorate in women's spirituality with a primary focus on the use of improvisational movement work as a healing modality. I also have 30+ years experience in wellness education; certified yoga and meditation teacher of 25+years; dynamic public speaker with many years of experience; published writer; love film and volunteer for AIFF.

I haven't read Rhythms of Vision. You mentioned yogi philosophy - one of my favorite authors is Yogi Ramacharaka (aka William Walker Atkinson/Swami Panchadesi) who wrote 14 Lessons in Yogi Philosophy, as well as dozens of other classics. You may want to check him out.
Hope you can make it to my event Thursday:

Hi Louise
ZUMBA is dance movements/steps of Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Samba, Hip Hop....basically Latino based....there is some belly dance movements as well. ZUMBA is done to Latino music...these are dance movements of S. America. ZUMBA is done without a partner, but the same steps can be used when doing these dances with a partner. ZUMBA is backed by fitness organizations since it provides a full body workout utilizing these fun dances. The student learns some basic steps but can do them at their own level....low aerobic or a lot of aerobic....it is low to zero impact type steps....and one can add their own "flavor". My classes have just started in Ashland; 8 to 10 are coming to class. Classes in large cities where I've taught & attended can be as large as 80 people. It's very popular & spreading worldwide. Anyone & everyone....all ages & shapes can do ZUMBA without any previous dance experience. Hope the helps. Here are some websites with MORE information: www.ayni.us www.zumba.com

PS I tried to make the websites links.....if it doesn't come out OK, here they are again: www.ayni.us www.zumba.com

Food - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Food is any substance, usually composed of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and water, that can be eaten or drunk by an animal, including humans, for nutrition or pleasure. Items considered food may be sourced from plants, animals or other categories such as fungus or fermented products like alcohol. Although many human cultures sought food items through hunting and gathering, today most cultures use farming, ranching, and fishing, with hunting, foraging and other methods of a local nature included but playing a minor role.

Understand Consciousness, Part II: Foods | NaturalNews

As talked about in "Understanding Consciousness" part 1, a large part of our consciousness comes from our thoughts and thought patterns. But a large part of our consciousness also comes from what we put inside our bodies. The foods we eat literally affect our consciousness and probably more than most realize.
