It's confusing Jeff. Communication so-called experts say, to always use I statements. I feel this, I think that, etc. Yet narcissism is quite rampant throughout our current culture. It seems that too many I statements feed into this self absorbing e…

Great Terry. This is Ronald from UU. I been here, about a month. This permaculure design sounds like an interdependent and eclectic focus. What a wonderful idea. I would love to learn more and perhaps share alittle too. Keep me in the loop. rhs

Howdy Jeff. As a meager man with his limited income, even I'm dedicate to consuming locally, if possible. Subscribing to a sustainable and homegrown economy is quite challenging though. Being cost effective is always a struggle. As Marie post has sa…

Profile Information

Do you live in Ashland or the southern Oregon area? If yes, then what are you seeking?
Networking & Connecting, Making New Friends, Sharing Resources & Information
What brought you Southern Oregon and Ashland area?
A friend relocated here and he invited me to check it out. I've been here for 2 years and love it here. Home town is San Jose California
What products, services, information or resources would you like to share, offer, give, sell, or exchange locally or regionally?
For now, service from myself. From depression disability to relocating here, I am networking with some awesome folks. An introvert pauper that wants to do the right thing. I a turtle, at 58, relearning to contect and grow.
Please describe any projects or businesses you'd like to develop locally or regionally, if any?
Right now, lots of 12-step, however, they don't want any involvement with outside issues. NAMI, with the mentally ill. Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. And learning with Steve Neuberger with Oregon, "Health Care for Ameican NOW". I would like to learn more things without burnout.
What are your favorite books, films or music that you'd like to share with others?
Martial arts. Well, I do like Sci-Fi. I've salivated over the new Star Trek movie. I like psychology, politics, transpersonal growth and any info that help's me help others.Music is varied, classical, jazz and being Scots-Irish, Celtic music as well. Not sure if I am interesting enough to share, but what I have, it would be great to pass on. That it for now.

Hi Ronald:

My book is perfect for anyone who wants to understand and support women better.
As for the passive-agressiveness, you may need to be really clear on what's hers and what's yours! That's funny, but I'm also serious about that, if you're serious about that.
Thanks for the comments. Why no picture?
Just read you comments below. Hey - we all have stuff. I don't see too many people judging harshly on here. I wouldn't worry about what you disclose. Everyone feels vulnerable to some degree.

Welcome to the Ashland Resource Center.

May your creative projects all be blessed. You can utilize this network as it grows to share about yourself and your projects/business/organizations. This is our own community version of MySpace/FaceBook.

You can fill out your "MyPage" with more information and resources. In the "text" box you can add a description, format text, upload photos, embed video, etc. This is your own little "website" with full capabilities. You can "Edit" features on your "MyPage," move the boxes around by selecting and dragging the headers to where you want them on the page. You can even change your theme and appearance.

In the "RSS" box you can add any RSS feed. You can upload a profile photo or logo under "MySettings" so we can feature your page.

For new member instructions and tutorial go to: FAQ's & Tutorial

Use this network to share yourself in the local community by inviting your friends under "Members" to see your "MyPage" profile and add their own. This is how the network grows strong and we are kept informed locally.

Namaste,
-Johnny & Linda

It been suggested that I share more about myself. Presently, that's a challenge. But I'll give it a try. For now, I don't have a rich life as a introverted pauper. The other challenge is disclosing vulnerable traits. I am dealing with some mental health health issuses. So I am not too sure who is reading this. There's some reservations to detail inhibited issues. The third challenge is I have a learning disablity. Typo errors are abit embarrassing. If you folks could have spell checks for us limited ones, that would be wonderful. A suggestion for a ramp for wheelchairs, so to speak.
But I am a seeking of growth and knowledge. So I hope that there is some tolerance, for the tentitive to share a piece at a time. I hope that gives insight in why I'm more reticent. I hope I am still welcome here.

RSS Food

Food - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Food is any substance, usually composed of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and water, that can be eaten or drunk by an animal, including humans, for nutrition or pleasure. Items considered food may be sourced from plants, animals or other categories such as fungus or fermented products like alcohol. Although many human cultures sought food items through hunting and gathering, today most cultures use farming, ranching, and fishing, with hunting, foraging and other methods of a local nature included but playing a minor role.

Understand Consciousness, Part II: Foods | NaturalNews

As talked about in "Understanding Consciousness" part 1, a large part of our consciousness comes from our thoughts and thought patterns. But a large part of our consciousness also comes from what we put inside our bodies. The foods we eat literally affect our consciousness and probably more than most realize.

Raw Spirit Festival

Raw Spirit International 2010 is a full three-day event featuring two stages (Lake and Meadow Stages) with mixed musical performers and dynamic health-eco-peace research presenters amidst stunningly-beautiful natural backdrops. Additionally, the Sacred Exercise Area (featuring an eclectic array of yoga, chi kung, tai chi, pranayama, poetry, prayers, meditation and beyond) is perched atop the lakeside cliff once again with spectacular vistas of the surreal jagged lake, it's sheer-rock shores and many islands. The Raw Vegan Demos and Tastings are once again in the Hilltop Pagoda with sweeping vistas of panoramic mountains.

Take GM Corn off the Shelves! - The Petition Site | Care2

The shelves of our grocery stores are filled with genetically-modified (GM) vegetables, also known as Frankenfood. But what's scariest about Frankenfood is not simply that scientists are manipulating DNA, but that they are not testing it before the food is sold to the public to be consumed!
